For centuries, every building project looked similar. The architect designed the building concept, the constructor an analytical model, and the cable and pipe route installer. These people had to cooperate closely in the precise transmission of project data.
Unfortunately, the risk of error during manual data transfer is considerable.
How does it look today in BIM technology?
In our opinion, the most important component of the name BIM – Building Information Modeling is the word information.
BIM technology allows not only to obtain information and modify it, but also to conveniently transfer it. Each project made in it is a source of knowledge not only for builders, but also for suppliers of building materials, equipment elements or subcontractors. Thanks to BIM, each project becomes a coherent whole, not a set of individual investments.
